$95self-pay, comprehensive eye exam

Routine evaluation and prescription review. 30 to 45 minutes total onsite. Eyewear, contact lens fitting and additional testing are separate.

Screening retinal photos and OCT scans are included for patients ages 25 and older.

Additional diagnostic testing or treatment may have a separate charge, usually at another visit. Ask your office what is included in the recommended care.

  • If the doctor recommends testing for a specific condition beyond the included screening, staff explain what it is and what it costs before it happens.

New-patient eye exam and contact lens fitting

$160self-pay

$160 total self-pay for a complete new-patient eye exam and contact lens fitting.

Included in this fee
  • The comprehensive eye exam and the fitting, together
  • Diagnostic trial lenses, including additional sets when needed
  • Insertion, removal and care instruction for first-time wearers, with repeat training when needed
  • Unlimited fitting follow-ups within 30 days of receiving your trials

  • Your ongoing contact lens supply
  • Separate diagnostic care or treatment
When you pay
  • At the visit.
If more testing is recommended
  • After the 30-day follow-up window an additional $35 fee may apply. The fitting fee is the same for astigmatism, bifocal and rigid gas-permeable lenses.

For returning patients whose previous AVCC exam was within three years, a fitting-only visit is $35. A comprehensive eye exam is $95. The office will help determine the appropriate visit.

What these fees do not cover

Eyewear
Glasses, frames and lenses are purchased separately, and you may take your prescription elsewhere.
Contact lenses
Your ongoing contact lens supply is separate. Diagnostic trial lenses are included in the $160 new-patient package.
Additional testing
Additional tests, treatments, eyewear and referral care may have separate charges.
Medical visits
An eye-health concern is evaluated and billed differently from a routine exam.
